BONPET B 12 automatic fire extinguisher is a two-liter fixed automatic extinguisher designed for automatic extinguishing for initial and advanced fires in areas with increased potential for fire. It is installed into ignition zone, which cannot be constantly monitored by human force.

B 12 with PVC inner finish belongs to the group of fire extinguishers with constant pressure of propellant gas, which is nitrogen. It consists of pressurized receptacle, bonpet extinguishing liquid and automatic extinguishing nozzle with manometer. Nozzle is automatically activated according to heat resistance in range from 57 C to 182 C. Maximum recommended distance from source of a fire is from 2 to 4 meters. Maximum 2m for B2 and B4 and maximum 4m for B6 and B12. Heat nozzles for temperatures 68 C and 93 C are always in stock, other types can be delivered in case of ordering over 100 pieces.
Activation:
When fire breaks out, temperature rises rapidly. Ampoule above the spray nozzle breaks under the influence of the heat and pressure in the receptacle sprays out the extinguishing liquid continuously until the receptacle is empty. Fire extinguisher is fixed by a holder into precise position above the zone with potential for fire, in order for manometer to be accessible for pressure control.
Bonpet extinguishing liquid is activated due to contact with hot surface and causes rapid conversion of thermal energy of fire into chemical decomposition of extinguishing medium by means of water. Chemical additives decompose into N2 and CO2 gases, which also suffocates the hot surface fire by preventing flames from accessing oxygen. During interaction of medium with hot surface, liquid increases its volume up to 60 times depending on the temperature. Foam effect is created. Decomposition of the medium provides very effective cooling effect.

Not decomposed components of extinguishing liquid are reactivated in the event of re-ignition and prevent the spread of the fire in the area effected by extinguishing mixture. Bonpet medium has extinguishing capacity of classes A, B and F and consequences of C class fires.
