BFE 2 /bonpet fire extinguisher/ with PVC inner finish belongs to the group of fire extinguishers with constant pressure of propellant gas, which is nitrogen. After removing the fuse and activating the extinguishing valve, nitrogen pushes the extinguishing liquid through pressurized pipe to the extinguishing nozzle.
Usage:
Follow the instructions on pictograms of fire extinguisher label. Start extinguishing at a sufficient distance from the fire and continuously shorten the distance. For A type fires is the stream directly pointed at fire. For B and F type fires (flammable liquids, oils and greases) direct the stream just above the surface of burning liquid. Outdoors always extinguish in wind direction.
Regular maintenance must be performed within 24 months from the purchase of BFE and every 12 months afterwards. Fire extinguisher must always be installed in a clearly visible place mounted on a stand. Place and marking must be in accordance with harmonized standard.
Bonpet extinguishing liquid is activated due to contact with hot surface and causes rapid conversion of thermal energy of fire into chemical decomposition of extinguishing medium by means of water. Chemical additives decompose into N2 and CO2 gases, which also suffocates the hot surface fire by preventing flames from accessing oxygen. During interaction of medium with hot surface, liquid increases its volume up to 60 times depending on the temperature. Foam effect is created. Decomposition of the medium provides very effective cooling effect.
ECO info:
Sprayed extinguishing substances and gases released during thermal reaction are not toxic and not dangerous for humans and the environment.
Not decomposed components of extinguishing liquid are reactivated in the event of re-ignition and prevent the spread of the fire in the area effected by extinguishing mixture. Bonpet medium has extinguishing capacity of classes A, B and F and consequences of C class fires.
